Features of professional communication of future police officers ..

Effective law enforcement requires new approaches to improving the professional communication of police officers. Professional efficiency of police officers depends significantly on their professional and psychological preparedness to make reasonble and quick decisions in difficult situations of professional communication.
Professional communication is not only an external aspect of police officers' work, but it also determines their inner culture and self-esteem. That is why the professional communication of law enforcement officers is a measure of their morality and general culture, as well as an important condition for creating confidence and a favorable social and psychological climate in police departments.
Psychological research findings show that knowledge of scientific foundations of professional communication and their creative application in practice make an effective police officer. With good professional knowledge and skills, police officers set their professional goals and develop relevant tactics to achieve them as well as make appropriate decisions, for which they are personally responsible.
The optimization of professional and psychological police officers' training, first of all, includes introduction of modern training technologies and various types of training aimed at developing future police officers' profession-relevant individual and psychological features, knowledge, skills and motivation.
The follow-up research is planned to focus on the possibilities of improvement of police officers' training in accordance with modern requirements and innovative teaching methods.

Psychological analysis of managing education districts as innovative organizations ..

The article analyzes the creation, mission and functions of education districts as innovative organizations. The authors discuss the basic approaches to understanding the role of an education district as: a way of modernization of education services; a system, which provides the international (European) level of education and the constructive interaction between all educational process actors; an innovative structure, which provides equal access to quality education and personal development to all educational process actors.
The article describes education districts as innovative organizations, which have their aims and objectives, actors, staff, and work technologies. The creation and functioning of education districts as innovative organizations may have a number of organizational and administrative problems, including those related to: managing an education district as a whole, different aspects of teaching staff management, educational process organization in education districts, and educational institution heads' psychological readiness for education district management. The authors also analyze the distinctive features of education district teaching staff management and educational district management as well as the differences between traditional and innovative approaches to education district teaching staff management.

Tools for researching staff's mental health

The article presents a set of tools for researching mental health of the staff in organizations. The first group of tools consists of those for studying the psychological characteristics of health in general, the second group includes the tools for studying psychological health. Both the first and the second groups of tools have two subgroups: the first subgroup has the tools meant to study staff's functional health and psychological health, while the second subgroup includes the tools designed to study the components of and staff's attitudes towards psychological health as well as the basic types of well-being. The authors give a detailed description of the discussed tools and the rationale for their including in the complex. The proposed set of tools can be used by organizational psychologists to assess staff's psychological health. Further research may focus on choosing instruments for studying organizational and psychological factors in and conditions for maintaining staff's psychological health.

Personal characteristics of educational organization managers: relationship with innovative management styles .

The article analyzes the results of empirical research related to personal characteristics of managers of educational organizations (extraversion/introversion, attachment/isolation, self-control /impulsivity, emotional stability/emotional instability, expressiveness/practicality). According to their emotional intelligence, educational organization managers have been divided into three groups: emotionally ignorant, emotion controlling, and emotionally sensitive. The author discusses the features of traditional and innovative management styles in relation to the respondents' emotional intelligence type: emotion controlling and emotionally sensitive educational organization managers use innovative management styles, while emotionally ignorant managers use traditional management styles.
The author also discusses the relationship between the educational organization managers' intelligence-based management styles and their personal characteristics. It is shown that the personal characteristics of educational organization managers associate with their innovative management. The findings can be helpful in promoting innovative management styles used by educational organization managers in the context of emotional intelligence development

Creativity as an important determinant of mental health of educational staff: a theoretical analysis of the problem

The article presents a theoretical and methodological analysis of educational organization staff's creativity in the context of their psychological health. Psychological health is not only about individuals physical, mental and social well-being, but also about individuals' continuous self-development and self-realization. The problem of creativity in the context of psychological health is becoming increasingly important in education, which is under a dramatic reform in Ukraine. Creative potential plays an integrating role in the system of individuals' psychological health and personal development. Therefore, when exploring mental health of an individual, great attention should be focused on developing their creativity. Further development of the education system in Ukraine calls for studying the role of educators' creativity in maintaining their psychological health. In this context, the development of psychological technologies for promoting educators' creativity will help to maintain their psychological health.

Theoretical analysis of the concept of emotional leadership .

The article deals with the theories of emotional leadership and emotional intelligence and their interrelation. Emotional intelligence is a set of emotional and social abilities, such as understanding of one's own and other people's emotions, management of one's own emotions as well as self-motivation. All the structural components of emotional intelligence are interconnected, and their close interdependence promotes effective interpersonal interaction. Emotional leader should not only have high logical intelligence, but also emotional intelligence, which in turn affects his/her ability to use emotional leadership in order to improve the management process. It is a leader's emotional intelligence that determines their level of emotional leadership.
Foreign scholars have dealt with the effects of emotional intelligence on leadership, but the relationship between emotional and social intelligence and leadership styles is still waiting for further research as is the relationship between social intelligence and leadership.
It is concluded that emotional leadership in managers and entrepreneurs contributes to their effective solution of the problems of organizational development through their understanding and solution of strategic and tactical tasks.

Comparative study into professional competence of physical rehabilitation specialists with different work experience ..

The article deals with the problem of the structure of professional competence of a specialist in a field of physical rehabilitation. It was stated that the structure of the professional competence of a rehabilitologist includes components (a cognitive one, social-psychological component and value-semantic one). Each of these component contains subcomponents. A cognitive component of professional competence of a specialist in a field of physical rehabilitation, in turn, includes: general scientific competence, diagnostic competence, psychotherapeutic competence. The next component is socio-psychological. It contains: communicative competence, intercultural competence, information competence. Another component of the professional competence of a specialist in a field of physical rehabilitation is value-semantic one. It contains the following subcomponents: axiological competence, prognostic competence, acmeological competence, creative competence.
Organizing experimental stage of our research, the psychological features of the development of professional competence of physical rehabilitators, who have already had higher education and worked as specialists, had being studied. A comparative research of the state of the development of professional competence of specialists in a field of physical rehabilitation with different professional experience (from 0 to more than 15 years) was carried out.
Taking into account the empirical data, the structure of communication competence of a specialist in a field of physical rehabilitation has been specified. Communicative competence was interpreted by us as an integrative characteristic of a person who determined his/her potential as a successful subject of social interaction. Thus, into the structure of communicative competence of a specialist in a field of physical rehabilitation we have included a set of abilities, psychological knowledge and communicative qualities, which become dominant in different situations of communication.

The content and structure of the training program ""Professional Self-Actualization of Civil Servants"" ..

The article deals with the training program ""Professional Self-Actualization of Civil Servants"". The program includes four training sessions covering the essence of civil servants' self-actualization, features of civil servants' professional self-actualization, analysis of civil servants' professional self-actualization meso-level factors (characteristics of the organization) and micro-level factors. The author describes the introductory, assessment and development components of each of the training sessions as well as the interactive techniques used, which include multimedia presentations (presentation of the general design and main stages of the training program), filling worksheets, incomplete sentences, brainstorming, making drawings, arts work, intergroup discussions, assessments, business games, projects, exercises, reflections, etc.

A study into information security manager's personality ..

The state of Ukraine is in a great need of the managers who have highly spiritual and emotionally stable personalities and can produce creative ideas, make responsible decisions and respond to the challenges of the information society. In this regard, it is critical to study information security as an area of applied psychology. There is a lack of studies on the personality of the information security manager. In order to be effective, the manager should create favorable conditions in the internal and external environment, use self-management methods and technologies in order to influence information and energy flows and organize daily work, and know the professional, personal and spiritual components of his/her personality and their meeting the requirements of the profession.
Self-development and self-change as components of self-determination create the free man. Self-development and self-change determine the characteristics of self-development, which implies improvement of activity through the improvement of personal abilities and skills as well as changed thinking.
The manager's self-development is aimed primarily at the formation of their ability to change and improve, which contributes to the realization of their shortcomings and overcoming them in an effective way for their further socialization and self-organization.
The practical significance of the research findings allowed clarifying the socio-psychological aspect of the information security manager's personality, which gives grounds for further research.

The development of comprehensive school students' entrepreneurship and personal property values during their economic socialization .

The article deals with the development of comprehensive school students' entrepreneurship and personal property values. From the early adolescence, the role of rational aspects in the system of personal values increases: the intrapersonal intellectual and labor potentials become more conscious as resources of material self-sufficiency.
When in high school, students become fully aware of all the benefits of ""owning"" all the components of personal property in order to realize themselves in the economy. The development of the motivational aspect of attitudes is characterized by a tendency to reduce the number of those who support immoral ways of appropriation during high school years. Such tendencies are due to the adolescents' natural desire to try out different ways of acquiring benefits and gain real autonomy from adults.
It is shown that each age period brings significant changes in the development of students' economic culture. Comprehensive school students' economic socialization develops from idealized appropriation relations, which rely mainly on the strategy of economy (primary school), through increased contradictions in the personal property values coupled with negative anxious experiences (secondary school) to relatively rational values (high school). The moral component of personal property values has been shown to be a systematic factor of students' economic socialization.

Training ""Teaching Staff's Entrepreneurial Activity Development Psychological Training"": structure, content and use

The article presents ""Teaching Staff's Entrepreneurial Activity Development Psychological Training"" based on a technological approach and describes its content, structure, objectives, and basic structural components as well as its target trainees, design and basic interactive techniques, which include filling worksheets, unfinished sentences method (followed by group discussion), brainstorming, mini-lectures, drawings, psychological practicums, intergroup discussions, individual projects, post-training analyses, etc. The training consists of an introduction, training session 1 ""Risk and Innovation as the Basic Characteristics of Entrepreneurial Activity"", training session 2 ""Creativity and Independence as the Main Procedural Characteristics of Entrepreneurial Activity"", training session 3 ""Focus on Achievement, Commitment and goal Orientation as the Key Characteristics of Entrepreneurial Activity”, and the final part. The training combines the main structural elements (training sessions), the main components of each of training topic (introductory, assessing and developing components) and interactive techniques used to represent each of the components. The author gives a detailed description of the training.

Features of communicative orientation of preschool children’s speech training

The article presents a theoretical study on the problem of preschool children speech activity and teaching them speech communication using native language. The author discusses a communication approach to practical speech training of preschool children, theoretical approaches to the study of preschool children’s speech activity and children’s language competence as a result of their speech activity. Preschool children’s communication need is referred to as an expression of preschool children’s thoughts, feelings, intentions and aspirations in social life, which implies that in developing preschoolers’ speech need one should focus on developing their speech expression needs. Children’s speech activity is their language practice and the components of the language are acquired gradually during speech communication on the basis of subject actions and subject activities. Teaching speech in day centers should be based on the accumulation of language means, in particular the practical assimilation of the native language and the formation of speech means for expressing thoughts. This accumulation of language units is important for the initial learning of the native language, although it does play a key role in the child’s communicative activity.

Internet addiction and its impact on adolescents ..

The article deals with the problem of maintaining the physical and mental health of electronic gadgets and Internet users as well as analyzes Internet addiction among adolescents who are prone to it because of their age-relevant peculiarities. The purpose of the article is to make a theoretical analysis of Internet addiction as an addictive behavior, taking into account adolescents' age-relevant mental and personal characteristics, as well as to analyze the possibility of adolescents' Internet addiction prevention and overcoming. Methodologically the article is based on the scientific concepts of Internet-dependent behavior and prevention of its adverse effects. It is pointed out that because of poor self-awareness, adolescents do not understand the causes of certain psychosomatic disorders that may be caused by Internet addiction. The author discusses the distinctive features of adolescents' mental development and personality formation, which may promote their Internet addiction. Simple rules of electronic gadgets and Internet use may help in preventing some negative complications. Dealing with Internet addiction is as difficult as dealing with other addictions because beating them requires a long work to change personal priorities, values and habits. The author describes the main criteria for identifying predisposition to using Internet resources as well as analyzes the best world experience in solving the problem under consideration. Effective regulatory and psychological mechanisms for overcoming and preventing Internet addiction can be fully tested in Ukraine.

Socio-psychological support for people with disability as a condition of their successful social integration .

The article deals with the problem of integral conception of the essence of social and psychological support for people with disability in the process of social integration. The purpose of this research is to study the problems of people with disability, the factors that prevent their successful social integration and to determine the effective actions to improve the life of these people. For this purpose, the socio-psychological support for people with disability is considered as a condition of their successful social integration and the modern paradigm of social integration of people with disability is constructed. The main groups of barriers that prevent people with disability from having a valuable social life are identified and the methods of their overcoming are proposed.

Combatants’ family adaptation psychological factors ...

The article analyzes the ex-combatants’ family adaptation factors. Ex-combatants’ adaptation is defined as the process of their adaptation to new social environment through their adoption of the behavioral norms to meet social requirements. A combat zone can make a heavy traumatic impact on an individual, which inevitably affects their psychological state including post-war civilian life. The author emphasizes that ex-combatants’ social re-adaptation manifests itself individually.
The author analyzes combatants’ reactions to traumatic situations and stresses out that re-adaptation to a civilian life may have serious complications including social maladaptation. The author describes some clinical types of adaptation disorder that may affect war veterans’ family wellbeing and discusses the goals and methods of psychological assistance given to ex-combatants and their families.
The author emphasizes a significant role of family support and understanding in effective ex-combatants’ re-adaptation. The recommendations proposed by the author to ease war veterans’ social re-adaptation include the family members’ acceptance and understanding of war veterans’ personal and behavioral changes, changed value systems and new life rules. Besides, family members should be patient and understand that re-adaptation is a long process guided by the war veterans’ desire and interests, they should respect war veterans’ personal boundaries, as well as create a friendly and trustful family atmosphere.
